The Wave

My Mom may not be the most Tech Savy but she knows the difference between a good and bad product.   We are both Google Fans but not fans of the Google Wave.  I suggest passing on the product and stick to email.  Here is the humorous conversation between her and I about Google Wave:

MOM:  What’s this Google Wave?  It confuses me and why do I need it?

ME:  It’s a long email or a wave of email and … (she stopped me)

MOM:  That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.  It’s too confusing, people are not going to use this.  They are just going to email instead.  Supposedly they have the smartest people working at Google and this is what they come up with?

ME:   Yes Mom I agree it is confusing and has no value for you so don’t use it.

MOM:   Apparently these intelligent or brilliant people who they recruit with their Masters Degrees don’t have any common sense.  Google should hire me I may not have a Masters Degree but at least I have common sense….

ME:  Yes Mom.
